    ABOUT DISTRICT COURT

    Bringing huge relief to the people of the newly created district Bajali, District Judiciary was established in the district on the 21st of May, 2022. Hon’ble Mr. Justice Hitesh Kumar Sarma, Judge, Gauhati High Court and Portfolio Judge, Barpeta District inaugurated the Bajali District Judiciary in the august presence of Shri Ranjeet Kumar Dass, Hon’ble Minister, Public Health Engineering, Panchayat & Rural Development, and General Administrative Department etc. Government of Assam by lighting the ceremonial lamp and unveiling the plaque in presence of District and Sessions Judge, Barpeta, Shri Aparesh Chakravarty, newly appointed District and Sessions Judge, Bajali, Smti Shabnom Choudhury, Deputy Commissioner, Bajali, Smti Cauvery Barkakati, Superintendent of Police Bajali, Shri Dharmendra Kumar Das, Members of Bajali Bar Association, other distinguished persons and local people. With much fanfare people of the locality celebrated the inauguration of the Court of District and Sessions Judge, Bajali as their long pending demand got fulfilled.
